    Description

Given that there is a growing interest to move toward cleaner technologies for electricity production, the purpose of this work requirement is to gain a better understanding of the technology and economics related to these non-emitting renewable energy generation sources, and how they fit in the current and future Canadian electricity generation mix. The deliverables from this work requirement will be used to increase Environment and Climate Change Canada’s knowledge about the technical and economic feasibility of adding more variable renewable electricity to the grid, as well as to inform future GHG policy developments while transitioning toward the low-carbon domestic economy.
