    Description of Work:

    Parks Canada requires the services of a general contractor to proceed with the excavation of contaminated sediments higher than A criteria (A-B) including transport and disposal according to the MDDELCC criteria of the shoals in the Iroquois river sector.

    Site Visit

    It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at 345 Sainte-Thérèse Street, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu – Île Sainte-Thérèse between des Peupliers Street and Daignault Street (45°21'33.73"N 73°15'57.49"O) on Monday, November 28, 2016. The site visit will begin at 9h00 am EDT.

    Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than Friday, November 25, 2016 at 2hoo PM EDT to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

    National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

    Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

    Construction Time:

    The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work within four (4) weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.

    The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
    Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
