    Description

The National Energy Board requires a Contractor with specialized training in Incident Command System (ICS) and oil spill incident response. This will support NEB employees in having the necessary competencies to use ICS while executing their respective functions.

With the promulgation of the Pipeline Safety Act, the NEB must be prepared to assume control of incident response if a company is unable or unwilling to do so.

The National Energy Board (NEB or the Board) is an independent federal, quasi-judicial regulator established in 1959 to promote safety and security, environmental protection and economic efficiency in the Canadian public interest within the mandate set by Parliament for the regulation of pipelines, energy development and trade. The Board reports to Parliament through the Minister of Natural Resources.
