    Description

    DELIVERABLES / SCOPE OF WORK

    .1 Work of this Contract is comprised of tasks at the Department of Fisheries and Oceans base location in: Yellowknife. Refer to the other specification sections for more detail. The fuel tanks require a Professional Engineer (registered in NT) to complete upgrades to the tank systems. Tasks to include at a minimum:

    .1 Submit 7 days before mobilization to site the following: work plan including schedule, Health and Safety Plan, Spill Response Plan, permits, certificates.

    .1 Yellowknife:

    Gasoline Yard Tank 4,321 L (Double Walled)

    1. Provide appropriate labels or plates demonstrating the Environment Canada registration number (Storage Tank Regulations, SOR 2008-197 Section 28 (2)).
    2. Dispenser flow rate requires adjustment (Dispensing Flow Rate Regulations, SOR 2000-43, Sec.3).
    3. Storage tank outer coating requires painting (NFCC Section 4.3.1.5 and CCME Code of Practic Section 3.8.2 (1)).
    4. Install cathodic protection – sacrificial anode (API 651 Sec. 9 and API 651 Section 9.3.1.3).
    5. Install overfill protection alarm (NFCC Section 4.3.1.8 (1) and Appendix A).
    6. Install signs for Emergency Shut-Off Valves.

      Heating Oil Tank 2,273 L (Single Walled)

    1. Install cathodic protection (API 651 Sec. 9 and API 651 Section 9.3.1.3).
    2. Install overfill vent whistle CSA B139.2-15 Section 8.2.1).

    Expected Start and Completion Dates

    The services of the Contractor will commence upon award of the contract. The expected completion date of this project is March 31st, 2017.
