Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) for providing CSA Z662 Public Access Initiative

The NEB has received requests from various stakeholders over the years for access to CSA Z662 – Oil and Gas Pipeline Systems, which is the principal design standard for NEB-regulated pipelines and is incorporated by reference in the NEB’s Onshore Pipeline Regulations. In order to assess the appropriate approach for enabling public access to this standard, the NEB is undertaking an initiative to provide web access to CSA Z662. As the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Group holds copyright for this standard, and manages access to its standards through its CSA Communities portal, the CSA Group is the only supplier who can provide web access for the CSA Z662 standard. The CSA Group will implement a survey for users and conduct an analysis on the amount and type of access to provide an assessment on accessibility and use of this standard through the web format.
