Description
The work consists of the operation of a public bus transportation system between the trail-head parking lot located near the Trans-Canada Highway and ending at Lake O’Hara in Yoho National Park, British Columbia. This service will be for a period of two years commencing on June 16, 2017 and expiring October 31, 2018. Parks Canada retains the option of extending the contract for an additional period of one (1) year. The Lake O’Hara access road is eleven (11) kilometres in length, starting at the trail-head parking lot near the Trans-Canada Highway at an elevation of 5,300 feet and ending at Lake O’Hara at an elevation of 6,600 feet. The road is a narrow gravel road with steep grades and sharp curves throughout its climb to Lake O’Hara. It is a restricted access road and is gated at the lower end.
The contractor shall provide all materials, equipment and labour required to perform the work.
The period of the contract is from June 16, 2017 to October 31, 2018. Parks Canada retains the option of extending the contract for an additional period of one (1) year.
Closing date for tender submissions is March 27, 2017 at 2:00 pm MDT.
Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.
