    Description

    1. Background

    Transport Canada is the federal department responsible for serving the public interest through the promotion of a safe and secure, efficient and environmentally responsible transportation system in Canada. The department consists of program and support groups working at headquarters in Ottawa and in locations across Canada. The headquarters organization is made up of a number of groups: Policy, Safety and Security, Airport and Port Programs, Surface Infrastructure and Corporate Services, as well as the Departmental General Counsel, Communications and Marketing, and Human Resources. Transport Canada's five regions - Pacific, Prairie and Northern, Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic - are headed by regional director generals responsible for the delivery of transportation programs and services in their respective regions.

    2. Requirement

     Transport Canada, Aircraft Services Directorate has recently hired several new employees which require Challenger 601 and 604 approved training courses in order to qualify for an AME license type endorsement.

    3. Scope of Work

    Transport Canada (TC) requires a maintenance initial type course for the CL601-1A aircraft along with a differences course for the CL-604 aircraft type.

    At present there are 5 students who require a CL601-1A maintenance initial course and 7 students who require a CL 604 differences course. The CL 604 difference course shall run concurrent to the CL 601-1A maintenance initial course and will include the 5 initial course students as well as 2 additional student for a total of 7 students.
