    Construction project: Refit of the workshop area, Acadie farm

    Sealed tenders for the project indicated above, addressed to the attention of the Contract Authority at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, will be accepted at the following address, up to the tender closing date and time indicated below:

    Scope of Work:

    Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) requires construction services for its Acadie farm.

    This project is intended to improve Acadie Farm’s main building located at 1134, Road 219, St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, J2Y 1C4. The main construction work consists of taking down a wall made of concrete blocks at the existing workshop, and building a new one to increase the mechanical workshop area. The concrete slab of this new wall will have to be rebuilt in order to include a floor drain. Electrical modifications must be taken into consideration, as well the replacement of garage doors. The construction work is scheduled to start on Tuesday October 10th, 2017.

    Site Visit:
    Although not mandatory, it is highly recommended that firms intending to submit a proposal attend a site visit. The latter will be held on Tuesday June 13th at 10:00 AM local time, at the Experimental Acadie Fam located at 1134, route 219, St-Jean-sur-Richelieu (Québec), J2Y 1C4. Attendees will be asked to sign an attendance sheet and may present themselves ten minutes before the scheduled time for this visit.

    Attendance to this visit is NOT MANDATORY, but Firms that do not attend will not be given an alternative appointment; although they will not be precluded from submitting an offer either. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation, and will be posted on BuyandSell.gc.ca .

    Tender Period Closing Date and Time: Tuesday July 4th, 2017 at 02:00 pm (EDT).

    Information requests and inquiries related to this tender process are to be directed, in writing, ONLY to the AAFC Contract Authority identified below. Bidders who contact anyone other than the AAFC Contract Authority to obtain such information during the solicitation period may, for that reason alone, be disqualified.

    It is MANDATORY for bidders of this project to obtain the related specifications, plans and drawings, and all other tender documents through the BuyandSell service provider. Addenda, when issued, will be available on the BuyandSell service provider.

    AAFC reserves the right to accept any proposal in whole or in part, without prior negotiation, and reject any or all proposals
