    Structural rehabilitation of the fire tower, Gatineau Park, Québec

    The work consist to install construction enclosures, to establish site access including trail modifications as required, to remove and replace existing concrete slab at base of ladder and extend legs of ladder to bear on new concrete slab, to un-tighten nuts at sagging horizontal steel members of the fire tower, to remove sag, and to re-tighten nuts, to supply and install new structural steel frame for guy wire anchorage at the top of the tower, to supply and install new structural steel elements, to encase existing concrete footings, to replace existing guy wires including all hardware, to remove and replace shingles of roof of timber hut, to remove construction enclosures and to restore site to original conditions including the trails

     A NON MANDATORY site visit will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 10am EDT. For the Job Showing, meet at the north extremity of parking lot of Champlain Parkway. Truck or 4 wheel vehicles are required to travel the 12.1 km long Trail No.1 to get to the tower site.

    All costs incurred by the Bidder to attend the site visit will be at their expense. The NCC will not reimburse any Bidder for expenses related to the site visit.

    Addendum 3: Due to a bike event in Gatineau Park on June 27, 2017, the second NON MANDATORY site visit is rescheduled to Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 10am EDT.
