Description
By means of the RFP, Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) is seeking proposals from bidders for the provision of land/water logistical support services for the seismic network upgrade in Haida Gwaii, BC.
1.2.1. Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), Earth Sciences Sector (ESS) has a requirement for the supply of land/water transport services on an “as and when requested” basis for all gear pertaining to the construction of the seismic sites located at Naden Harbour, Barry Inlet, Jedway Mine, Masset Inlet, Dawson Inlet and Mitchell Dam.
The loading site will be at a Parks Canada compound in the village of Queen Charlotte, British Columbia with delivery to and from the seismic station sites.
The upgrading of the seismic stations is scheduled for August of 2017 and August 2018 when historically the local weather is optimal for flying. The priority will be to disseminate the gear to all the sites scheduled for construction for that year so that construction crews can maximize their flexibility in planning the sites construction. The initial assessment for the sites construction project which includes transportation of all gear is 3-4 weeks for each year.
1.2.2 Period of Contract: from contract award date to March 31, 2019.
