    Project: 1413-5

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    The work covered by this contract includes the rehabilitation of the Grande-Grave wharf in Harbour of Grande-Grave in the southern sector of the Forillon National Park. Work includes but is not limited to:

    1. Replacement of sheating;

    2. Installation of horizontal planks bringing the sheating in the same plane as the ladders;

    3. Repair and replacement of wheel guard;

    4. Replacement of localized flooring parts;

    5. Complete replacement of flooring section with repair of existing joists and / or installation of new joists;

    6. Add anchorages to the existing steel beams below the flooring of surface 4 and a part of surface 3 and repair of assemblies;

    7. Repair and replacement of ladders;

    8. Repair and replacement of mooring posts;

    9. Repair of concrete slab, new cut-off wall and installation of sealant;

    10. Earthwork and fill;

    11. Surface treatment with waterproofing of certain areas of wood flooring;

    12. Place non-slip surface at the locations indicated on the plans;

    13. Cleaning and painting steel plate, beam tops and angles;

    14. Replacing base plate of the winch;

    15. Update of the electrical installations provided by the Park (streetlights, electrical outlets, junction boxes, etc.) including replacement of outdoor luminaire.

    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT

    It is recommended that the bidders attend the site visit at the designated date and time to examine the scope of the work required and the existing conditions. A maximum of two (2) representatives per bidder will be permitted to examine the sites.

    The site visit will be held on Thursday, August 10th at 9am local time. Interested bidders will meet at:

    Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than one open day before the scheduled visit to confirm attendance.

    Bidders who, for any reason, cannot attend at the specified date and time will not be given an alternative appointment to view the site and their proposals. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.

    CLOSING DATE AND TIME

    August 24nd, 2017 at 2pm (EDT)

    National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

    Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

    PERIOD OF CONTRACT

    The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work in two phases, as indicated below:

    - Phase 1 (North jetty and shore wharf): 11th of September 2017 to the 8th of April 2018

    (items 1-4 in the Bid Form)

    - Phase 2 (South jetty): 4th of September 2018 to the 31st of December 2018

    (items 5-8 in the Bid Form)
