NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROCUREMENT (NPP)
This requirement is for:
The Correctional Service of Canada, Pacific Region, requires professional qualified cleaning services to clean the Medical Hospital at Pacific Institution.
Trade agreement:
North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
Tendering procedures:
All interested suppliers may submit a bid.
Competitive Procurement Strategy:
Compliant bid with the highest combined score of technical merit and price.
Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business:
This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Aboriginal Suppliers.
Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement:
This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement.
Security Requirements:
This contract includes security requirements.
Nature of Requirements:
The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.
The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement to operate an accredited hospital at Pacific Institution and in order to maintain the standard of cleanliness required for that accreditation, CSC requires that the provision of Janitorial Services at the Pacific Institution be performed by a contracted building cleaning company.
The site visit for this project is MANDATORY. The representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will not be accepted.
A Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) check is required prior to gaining authorized access to sites. No cameras, cell phones (of any type) or laptop computers are allowed into institutions at any time.
The names of all proposed attendees MUST be provided NO LATER THAN August 21st, 2017.
Objectives:
In order to maintain the accreditation standard for hospitals, contracted cleaners will be utilized to clean at Pacific Institution. Cleaning services provided must meet or exceed the standards required for accreditation.
Deliverables:
Supply all labour and supervision necessary to complete the Statement of Work.
Term of Contract:
This is a one-year contract with multi-option years.
Initial Term: 01 October 2017 - 30 September 2018
Option to renew for two (2) additional years.

After contract award, bidders may request a debriefing on the results of the bid solicitation process. Bidders should make the request to the Contracting Authority within fifteen (15) working days of receipt of the results of the bid solicitation process. The debriefing may be in writing, by telephone or in person.
