Description
The Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) has a requirement for an experienced writer/editor to research, write and disseminate a number of communications products to showcase the RCN role and capabilities, both to internal and external audiences.
The writer/editor will identify news and feature story ideas within the RCN, draft original articles, edit and revise articles from other sources, draft content for other media, including social media, and compile images for the RCN’s national website.
The requirement will be for an initial three (3) years with three (3) one (1) year option periods.

For more information on personnel and organization security screening or security clauses, bidders should refer to the Industrial Security Program (ISP) of Public Works and Government Services Canada (http://ssi-iss.tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca/index-eng.html) website.
For services requirements, Bidders must provide the required information as detailed in article 2.3 of Part 2 of the bid solicitation, in order to comply with Treasury Board policies and directives on contracts awarded to former public servants.
The Crown retains the rights to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
