    SCOPE OF WORK

    .1 Work under this contract is situated in Gatineau Park, Quebec, and is defined as follows:

    Trail No. 36 Restoration;

    .1 Mobilisation and construction site installations

    .2 Sediment barrier installation to protect ditches, watercourses and wetlands

    .3 Site rehabilitation after the work

    .4 Clearing, grubbing and removal of dead tree trunks, off-site disposal of waste

    .5 Protective fence for Butternut tree

    .6 Cut and fill – rough site grading and levelling

    .7 Trail surfacing – new granite stone dust trail surface

    .8 Rip rap for culverts

    .9 Drain conduit – PVC pipe installation

    .10 Drainage ditch – excavation, ground compaction and rip-rap installation

    .11 Settling pond - excavation, ground compaction and rip-rap installation

    .12 Rockfill under root system - including perennial planting

    .13 Culvert 1.4 m diameter– corrugated steel pipe installation

    .14 Culvert 450mm diameter– PEHD drainage gage pipe installation

    .15 Stone, 600mm diameter – installation

    .16 Shrub planting, calibre: 30cm - including anti-erosion mat for slope stabilisation

    .17 Seeding

    CONSTRUCTION TIME: The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work within six (6) weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.

    Site visit: A NON MANDATORY site visit will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 10am, EDT. The meeting place will be at the P11 parking lot off of Chemin du Lac Meech in Gatineau Park, Chelsea, QC. https://goo.gl/maps/EtK7PZ8JeR52 (Google maps link)

    All costs incurred by the Bidder to attend the site visit will be at their expense. The NCC will not reimburse any Bidder for expenses related to the site visit.

    ENQUIRIES DURING THE SOLICITATION PERIOD:  Enquiries regarding this tender must be submitted in writing to the following: Sr. Contract Officer, Allan Lapensée e-mail address – allan.lapensee@ncc-ccn.ca as early as possible within the solicitation period. Except for the approval of alternative materials as described in GI15 of the General Instructions to Bidders, enquiries should be received no later than five (5) calendar days prior to the date set for solicitation closing to allow sufficient time to provide a response. Enquiries received after that time may result in an answer not being provided
