Bio-Hazard Waste Removal Services
The Contractor will be required provide hazardous waste removal and disposal services on a monthly basis as well as providing additional pick-ups as and when requested by the Project Authority or designate for the Regional Psychiatric Centre, Saskatoon, SK.
Trade agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)/Canada-Peru, Canada-Colombia and/or Canada-Chile Free Trade Agreements.
Tendering procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid.
Competitive Procurement Strategy: lowest priced compliant bid.
Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business:
This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Aboriginal Suppliers.
Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement:
This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement.
Security Requirements: This contract does not include security requirements.
Nature of Requirements:
The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.
The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement to provide hazardous waste removal and disposal services on a monthly basis as well as providing additional pick-ups as and when requested.
Objectives:
The Contractor is to provide material (including boxes and bags to contain bio-hazardous waste), equipment, tools and supervision necessary for the identification, labeling, packaging, preparation of profile documentation sheets, all labor required for transferring material from the onsite bio-hazard trailer to the truck and loading, transportation and disposal/destruction of user generated hazardous waste products.
Deliverables:
- A disposal certificate and/or completed manifest must accompany all invoices. The certificate and/or manifest must show that the disposition of materials has been in accordance with current Federal, Provincial and Municipal Regulations and Legislation. Payment will not be made until the disposal certificate and/or manifest has been provided.
- Within 90 days of the removal of any hazardous waste, the contractor must provide the Project Authority with the Certificate of Destruction reconciling with the waste generated (boxes and mattresses) from RPC. Failure to provide this documentation will be sufficient reason for payment to be withheld until documentation is received.
Term of Contract:
The period of the Contract is from May 1, 2018 to April 30, 2022 inclusive.

Bidders should make the request to the Contracting Authority within fifteen (15) working days of receipt of the results of the bid solicitation process. The debriefing may be in writing, by telephone or in person.
