      Description of Work:

Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) relies on two mission critical IT web applications to process import and export permits for over 3000 businesses and individuals in Canada, Export Import Control System (EICS) and Export Control On-Line (EXCOL). These two systems, that process about 2000 permits every day, are at end-of-life and need to be replaced by the Export Import Control System II (EICS II) in order to ensure that DFATD can deliver on its mandate under the Export and Import Permits Act (EIPA).

The purpose of the EICS II project is to:

    • Eliminate the existing risk that DFATD faces due to the age of the two systems by developing and configuring a COTS application to replace them.
    • Implement a system which will be flexible enough to support future business needs of the Bureau.

To assist in meeting the above object, DFATD’s EICS II Project requires the services of one (1) Project Manager (Level 3) and one (1) Project Scheduler (level 3) to assist in the management of many tasks associated with the project.

      INCUMBENT INFORMATION:

The Project Scheduler position is currently filled by Maplesoft Consulting Inc. under a contract valued at $488,880.00. There is no incumbent in the Project Manager position.
