    Description

    SCOPE OF WORK / DELIVERABLES:

    The Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) wishes to rebuild a wooden shelter above the pillar at île du Moine FA. To do this, the CCG wishes to mandate a contractor to provide the labor, materials, tools, equipment and services required to perform the following work as per plans QE33460-A-01 @ 16-02 and QE33460-S01-01,04 provided respectively in Annexes 3 and 4 of the specification:
    1. Demolition of existing guardrails and shelter;
    2. Repair and waterproofing of the outer roof slab;
    3. Construction of a concrete wall for the siding of the new shelter;
    4. Construction of the new wooden shelter; and
    5. Restoration of the site and protection of the environment.
    This list is not exhaustive and is intended only to provide an overview of the scope of the work to be done. Any work appearing in plans and specifications and not mentioned in this list is also an integral part of the contract.

    LOCATION OF WORK, WORK SITE AND DELIVERY POINT:

    The structure at Île du Moine FA, Qc is located in the municipality of Sainte-Anne-de-Sorel and can be reached by boat or by helicopter. More precise information to get to the site and access is provided in Annex 1 (Access and Localization) of the specifications (Devis).

    SITE VISIT:

    A site visit will be organized by the technical authority. Bidders who deem it necessary must contact the Fisheries and Oceans Canada Procurement Officer whom will contact the Canadian Coast Guard Project Authority to arrange a visit. Only one visit will be organized by the Ministry. Bidders will then have to inspect the site at Île du Moine FA and anticipate all the conditions that are likely to influence the course of the work. Submission of a tender will be evidence that the tenderer has prepared his / her proposal with full knowledge of the facts and is aware of the inherent risks arising from the work of the project.
