The department of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) has a requirement to review and analyze confidential industrial energy-use and production data collected by Statistics Canada. In addition, NRCan requires that this detailed information be maintained in a database so that NRCan can assess and report on the long-term impacts of energy efficiency and energy consumption trends in Canada’s industrial sectors.
