    NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROCUREMENT (NPP)

    Solicitation #: FP802-160323 Closing Date: February 5, 2018 Time: 2 pm (Ottawa Time)

    This requirement is for the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO).

    TITLE: Requirement for the halo carbon testing and HVAC maintenance for Prescott Canadian Coast Guard Base.

    BACKGROUND

    The department is mandated by Environment Canada to have annual inspections on all HVAC equipment containing halo carbons. This requirement refers to all equipment larger than 19kw/5.5 tonnes or 63,000 btu’s. The department is mandated to keep records of all the related pieces of equipment at it’s sites including equipment that has been de-commissioned. 

    SITE VISIT (OPTIONAL) DONE PRIOR TO SUBMITTING SOLICITATION

    Please send your site visit request to the contracting officer by January 5, 2018.

    There will be one assigned date & time for site visit schedule and this will be organized by a DFO Real Property Personnel. Please note that it is the responsibility of the bidders to attend so they are able to view the equipment at first hand. A DFO Real Property representative will be on hand to receive any questions the bidders may have. All of the questions & answers will be recorded and emailed to the contracting authority. Bidders are requested to communicate with the contracting authority to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend.

    TRAVEL & LIVING EXPENSES

    There will be NO travel for this requirement.

    SECURITY REQUIREMENT

    There is NO security requirement for this contract.

    RESOURCE REQUIREMENT

    DFO requires one (1) qualified Contractor to accomplish the work outlined in this statement of work. The contractor will determine the number of resources is required for this requirement.

    SCOPE OF WORK

    The contractor will be providing equipment inspections, repair services, and emergency services related to the HVAC equipment on the base. The Contractor must provide all necessary labour, materials, tools and equipment to carry out the Bi-Annual Inspection and perform any repair and maintenance on the equipment as per the corresponding provided equipment list at Prescott.
