Request for Proposal (“RFP”) # 291: Actuarial Services for the Public Accounts

This RFP is offered only to suppliers on the permanent suppliers list resulting from RFSO #256 Audit and Related Services - Stream 4 – Actuarial Services, for the provision of professional services to the Office of the Auditor General of Canada (“OAG”) in support of audits on an “as and when required” basis where the estimated expenditure exceeds $89,600.00 (including applicable taxes).

The Office of the Auditor General of Canada (“OAG”) requires a contractor to perform an annual audit of the Government of Canada’s consolidated financial statements as further described in Section 2 (Statement of Work) of this RFP.

The OAG conducts independent audits and studies that provide objective information, advice and assurance to Parliament, territorial legislatures, boards of Crown corporations, government and Canadians. The OAG’s head office is located in Ottawa and its four regional offices are located in Vancouver, Edmonton, Montréal and Halifax. Please see www.oag-bvg.gc.ca for further information about the OAG.

This RFP describes the process by which a supplier, who is the person or entity submitting a proposal responding to the requirements of the RFP and having legal capacity to contract (a “Bidder”), may be selected for recommendation of contract award. The term of this contract will be for a period of three (3) years, plus an irrevocable option for the OAG to extend the term for up to two (2) additional one (1) year periods.

Previously, the OAG has contracted the services of Ernst & Young LLP, under a multi-year Standing Offer Agreement, to deliver actuarial services for the Public Accounts.
