    Description

    The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) requires a qualified instructor to conduct training of inspection staff in the 2-person Fall Arrest System according to the existing CFIA standards manual. This system includes specialized training on fall protection and on assisted rescue in case of emergencies within ship’s holds and has been developed to help CFIA meet requirements under the Canada Labour Code Part II, and Canadian Occupational Safety and Health Regulations. This would include full training for approximately 5 new vessel inspection staff and refresher training to approximately 18 experienced staff. The period of the contract will be from contract award date to December 31st, 2018, with the option to extend the contract for three (3) one-year option periods.  It is anticipated training will take place in the Spring/Summer for each year. Training will be held in Burnaby, BC, Canada.

    Mandatory Requirement:

    The proposal must clearly demonstrate that the proposed resource is competent in delivery of training to the standards of Canada Labour Code, Canadian Standards Association and ANSI Z359 Fall Protection code by providing a detailed résumé stating the proposed resource’s professional work experience, education and certification, which clearly indicate that the individual meets the requirements.
