    Description

    This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, Atlantic Institution, Dorchester Penitentiary Complex, Springhill Institution, Nova Institution for Women and the Regional Pharmacy.

    Trade agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Canada free trade agreements with Chile/Colombia/Honduras/Panama/Peru.

    Tendering procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid.

    Competitive Procurement Strategy: lowest priced compliant bid

    Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business: This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Aboriginal Suppliers.

    Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement.

    Security Requirements: This contract includes security requirements.

    Nature of Requirements:

    The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.

    The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement for the disposal of biomedical & pharmaceutical waste. The contractor shall provide, on as and when required basis, the collection, transportation and disposal of all biomedical & pharmaceutical waste from CSC Institutions including Atlantic Institution, Dorchester Penitentiary Complex, Springhill Institution, Nova Institution for Women and the Regional Pharmacy. All biomedical & pharmaceutical waste will be transported to the company’s disposal or processing site for destruction by incineration.

    Objectives: Provide pick up, transport and disposal of biomedical and pharmaceutical waste.

    Deliverables:

    At the request of the project authority or his/her designated representatives, the contractor will conduct an estimated amount of up to 12 pickups of biomedical & pharmaceutical waste at each of the following facilities: Atlantic Institution, Nova Institution and Regional Pharmacy, an estimated amount of up to 18 pickups of biomedical & pharmaceutical waste at the following facility: Dorchester Penitentiary Complex and an estimated amount of up to 26 pickups of biomedical & pharmaceutical waste at the following facility: Springhill Institution.

    A disposal certificate and/or completed manifest must accompany all invoices. The certificate and/or manifest must show that the disposition of materials has been in accordance with current Federal, Provincial and Municipal Regulations and Legislation. Payment will not be made until the disposal Certificate and/or manifest have been provided.

    Term of Contract: Period of the Contract: The Work is to be performed during the period of June 1, 2018 to Mai 31, 2019 with the option to renew for four (4) additional one-year periods.
