    Requirement description:

    Transport Canada requires the services of up to three (3) level 3 project managers to develop applications for Transport Canada IT projects.

    Project management tasks are based on the TC IM/IT Project Management Framework.

    The project manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of their project, which may include an application development aspect. Working in conjunction with Business clients, IM/IT team lead and development team, the project manager will manage the approved project in support of the client’s business needs comprised of the following:

    • MyTC Online Account (MTOA): MTOA will provide external clients with the ability to access Transport Canada regulatory services online through an enterprise web portal in a standard and consistent manner.

      Mobile: The Mobile project will provide Transport Canada inspectors with tablets and a mobile enabled user interface for the collection of inspection data, and provide on device copies of relevant inspection information (such as regulations and legislation, inspection specific information, etc.). The tablets will allow the inspectors to work while either connected to, or disconnected from, the Transport Canada computer network.

    • System Architecture and Application Rationalization (SAAR): The SAAR project will create and implement a Transport Canada multi-year strategy to consolidate, migrate and decommission select applications. The focus of the multi-year strategy is on providing the solution platforms (such as CRM, BI etc.) and reusable services (such as Access Management, Payment etc.) needed to support the department’s business in a sustainable manner. As these platforms, services and applications are implemented they will facilitate enhanced Departmental reporting and decision making and the consolidation of Departmental data.

    Proposed period of contract:

    The initial proposed period of contract shall be from the date of contract award to March 31, 2019, with additional periods, from April 1, 2019, to December 31, 2019.
