Parks Canada Agency (PCA) has a requirement for construction services to rehabilitate four (4) structures located on the Trans-Canada Highway in Terra Nova National Park; three (3) large structural concrete arches and Big Brook Bridge. These concrete arches were built over 50 years ago: Bread Cove in 1964, Saltons in 1958 and Southwest Brook in 1953. These concrete arches span from 7.3 m to 8.5 m. Big Brook Bridge, built in 1959, is a three span, 6 girder structure consisting of steel girders with composite concrete deck and concrete abutments. The rehabilitation works for each of the three arches and Big Brook Bridge shall include, but not be limited to, repairing delaminated concrete, replacing corroded reinforcing, sealing of cracks, and replacing of guiderail posts. Embankments at each culvert on both sides of the roadway will also see stabilization of fill.

Project Timeline:
The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work by September 30, 2018.

National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.
The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
