    Description of Work:

    The Work covered by this contract includes the restoration of the Lachine Canal walls on the section(s) indicated in the Tender Form and on drawings.

    1 The restoration works can include one or more of the following activities, without limitation:

    .1 Replacement or rehabilitation of crowning walls (Retaining wall) and seats;

    .2 Any other repair details shown on drawings and proposed in the current contract,

    .3 Perform a detailed survey of the existing wall to be repaired or replaced.

    Validate precise dimensions, and profiles of crowing walls and seats walls subject to the current contract. Validate the alignment starting from the base of existing crowning wall. Validate the alignment of the wall from the base of the existing crowing wall. Perform all required survey;

    Examine the exact dimensions of the retaining wall (crown) and top of the foundation and any concrete components attached to it in order to determine the existing profile. Determine the exact profiles of existing walls and validate their actual dimensions. Submit detailed shop drawings showing the existing profiles as well as the proposed final profiles for each type of wall.

    There will be an optional site visit on 9 August, 2018 at 1:30 pm. interested bidders are to meet at St Patrick Street and Senkus Street next to the Lachine Canal (See ANNEX C)

    Closing Date and Time: August 23, 2018 at 2 PM Eastern Daylight time (EDT)

    National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

    Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

    Delivery Date: The work under this contract must be completed in full, twenty-five (25) calendar weeks starting September 17th, 2018 and two (2) weeks of finalization (sodding) in spring, latest completion date is May 14, 2019
