    Description

    Requirement:

    Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue Canal National Historic Site requires a contractor to perform all the work associated with the repairs to the stop logs and the lock at the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue Canal. The repairs of the stop logs include mainly replacement of pieces of wood, sawing work of metal parts, welding work as well as other related civil works. Rehabilitation work at the lock mainly includes mechanical type work on the hydraulic units, and civil type work such as repairs to the floor (woodwork and concrete), sidewalk repair, railing repair, replacement of the turnbuckle of all four (4) doors, the 'J-seal' angle and the fastening angle of all four (4) doors, the repair of the steel surfaces, as well as other related mechanical and civil works.     Optional Site Visit:

    There will be an optional site visit on 18 September, 2018, at 10:30 (local time). Interested bidders are to meet at 170 rue Sainte-Anne, Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue Canal National Historic Site. The meeting point will be on the North side of the lock, at the upriver lock doors.

    The site visit for this project is OPTIONAL. The representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $1,000,001 and $5,000,000 Taxes extra.

    Project Timeline:

    The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work by 27 April 2019.

    National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.
