Description
Statistics Canada requires the assistance of professional experts who are able to provide resources on an “as required basis” to deliver strategic advice to support strong financial management within the department by providing services to support but not limited to the following focus areas:
- Sustainable and ongoing review and improvement of internal controls;
- Effective integrated strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and costing functions;
- Effective fraud risk assessment and performance dashboards;
- Strong salary expenditure integrity controls and testing;
- Exhaustive and integrated Financial Management Framework; and
- Elaborate training material in the area of financial management for both employees of the finance branch and budget holders (directors, assistant directors).
