    Description

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    The work in subject of this contract consist of the repair of the parking lot and the protection of the building from the centennial flood at the Carillon Barracks National Historical Site. The work covered by this project includes but is not limited to;

    1. The demolition of existing structures;
    2. First and second class excavations;
    3. Rehabilitation of the concrete wall and natural stone surface near the entrance, adjacent to the parking lot;
    4. The construction of a new protective wall along the south side of the building, including installation of a water drain connected to a new pumping system built inside the existing building;
    5. Rehabilitation of the parking lot such as the pavement, the pavement structure, the trails, the amenities and any other work affected by the work;
    6. Temporary retaining structures;
    7. Works necessaries for environmental protection;
    8. Temporary signage and protection elements for managing traffic.

    SITE VISIT

    There will be an optional site visit on October 24, 2018 at 10am EDT. Interested bidders are to meet at: 44 Route du Long-Sault, Saint-Andre-D’Argenteuil, QC J0V 1X0.

    INFORMATION

    National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

    Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

    The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.

    Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.

    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $250,001 > $ 500,000, Taxes extra.

    PERIOD OF CONTRACT

    The Contractor must begin the work at contract award and complete all work by December 15, 2018.
