    Description

The Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) has a requirement for landscaping and grounds maintenance services at the Canadian Embassy in Algiers, Algeria, as described in the Statement of Work (Annex A). The current team is made up of 1 supervisor and 4 gardeners.

The work must be performed from the date of contract award (tentatively scheduled for March 1, 2019) for a period of two years. However, in the event of unusual circumstances, the contract could be awarded at a sooner or later date. There is also the potential of three additional one-year irrevocable option periods under the same terms and conditions.

THERE IS A MANDATORY SITE VISIT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS REQUIREMENT. The site visit will be held at 18 Mustapha Khalef Street, Ben Aknoun on January 9, 2019 and will begin at 10:00 AM, in Algiers, Algeria. Bidders are requested to confirm their attendance with Canada’s Representative no later than five (5) working days before the site visit and provide the names of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment and their proposal will be rejected as non-compliant. Any clarifications or changes to the RFP resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to this RFP.

There are security requirements associated with this requirement. Please refer to Part 5, Resulting Contract Clauses for more information.

Bids will be assessed in accordance with the entire requirement of the bid solicitation document including the technical (mandatory and point rated) and financial evaluation criteria. The responsive bid with the lowest evaluated price per point will be recommended for award of a contract.

After contract award, bidders may request a debriefing on the results of the bid solicitation. Bidders should make the request to the Contracting Authority within 15 working days of receipt of the results of the bid solicitation process. The debriefing may be in writing, by telephone or in person.
