    Description of Work:

    Background

As one of the largest departments of the Government of Canada, ESDC has extensive Real Property holdings across Canada: currently comprised of over 450 sites. Management of these spaces is currently performed using manual processes with spreadsheets and floorplan drawings.

ESDC has developed a CAFM Project Team to implement a CAFM system in order to streamline existing space management processes and improve its strategic space planning capacity. ESDC purchased the Space Management module of ARCHIBUS, and has successfully installed it on development and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) servers. Technical support will be required to ensure successful implementation of the CAFM system after installation on the production server, which is expected to be completed in December of 2018.

    Objective

The primary objective of the project is to ensure the successful implementation of ARCHIBUS CAFM software as a space management system for ESDC Real Property & Asset Management operations. This will entail a review of the existing installation of ARCHIBUS software on ESDC’s development, UAT & production servers, as well as ESDC’s Space Data Acquisition Template and process documents; it will also include assisting ESDC’s CAFM Team in the migration of departmental space data and drawings into the CAFM system, conduct data quality assurance, and any necessary dashboard or reporting customization of ARCHIBUS required to optimize ESDC’s space management operations.

The secondary objective of this project is to provide ARCHIBUS user training to ESDC employees tailored to their user roles.
