Title: Floating dock and guide frames project

Summary:
The work covered under this contract consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for Floating Dock and Guide Frames at Berth 31, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, in strict accordance with specifications and accompanying drawings and subject to all terms and conditions of contract.
In general, work under this contract consists of but will not necessarily be limited to the following:
- Fabrication and installation of two guide frames as shown on the drawings. Installation of owner supplied steel platform as shown on the drawings.
- Installation of owner supplied floating dock as shown on the drawings.
- Installation of owner supplied aluminum gangway as shown on the drawings.
- Modifications to existing wheelguard to accommodate new steel platform.
- Removal and storage of existing D-shape fenders as indicated.
- Supply and installation of a new metal ladder
MANDATORY SITE VISIT
It is mandatory that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site.
Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than March 11, 2019 to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders will be required to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders should confirm in their bid that they have attended the site visit. Bidders who do not attend the mandatory site visit or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment and their bid will be declared non-responsive. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
Contractors, bidders, or those they invite to site are to review specification section on Health and Safety before visiting site. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid.
