Outlook session & G2B meetings Mari-Tech 2019

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), with the support of the Department of National Defence (DND), Department of Fisheries and Ocean (DFO) and Canadian Coast Guard (CCG), Transport Canada (TC), Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), as well as Innovation Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) will be presenting a federal marine procurement outlook session on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 23^rd, 2019 (1:00pm - 5:00pm) at the Mari-Tech 2019 Conference held this year at the Ottawa Conference and Event Center located at 200 Coventry Rd, Ottawa ON K1K 4S3. Building upon the very positive feedback and attendance of the sessions over the past two years, the event is free of charge and will provide an overview of upcoming procurements over the course of the next three years in areas such as small vessel construction, vessel repair, refit and life extension, in-service support, sustainment, vessel chartering, disposal and other special projects in the realm of marine equipment.

It is PSPC’s intent to capitalize on this event to engage industry in a manner consistent with the principles of Smart Procurement (early engagement, effective governance, independent advice, and benefits for Canadians) and offer an opportunity for one-on-one engagement discussions between Government and interested industry parties (G2B) attending the Mari-Tech conference on Wednesday April 24^th and Thursday April 25^th. This opportunity should be of particular interest to small and medium marine-focused enterprises wishing to refine their understanding of specific requirements or to showcase their capabilities/capacities. This portion of our program is part and parcel of the Mari-Tech event and as such is open to conference attendees.
