MICROBIOLOGIST SERVICES
This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, Quebec Region.
Trade agreement: This procurement is not subject to any trade agreement.
Tendering procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid.
Competitive Procurement Strategy: The Bidder that can support the clientele suffering from HIV and viral hepatitis will be prioritized for the award of the Contract, since he can meet the majority of clientele. If two Bidders or more can support the clientele suffering from HIV and viral hepatitis, the responsive bid with the lowest evaluated price per institution will be retained for the award of the Contract. If no Bidder can support both clienteles, the responsive bid with the lowest price per clientele, per institution, will be retained for the award of the Contract.
Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business: This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Aboriginal Suppliers.
Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement.
Security Requirements: This contract includes security requirements.
Nature of Requirements:
The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.
The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement to provide specialized medical services for the treatment of viral hepatitis and/or HIV for Donnacona, Cowansville, Joliette and La Macaza Institutions.
Objectives: The Contractor must provide clinical care for the treatment of viral hepatitis and/or HIV to federal offenders and collaborate with the institution’s multidisciplinary health services team, which includes, but is not limited to, general practitioners, nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists and other related health care professionals.
Deliverables: The Contractor must, as a specialist in the treatment of viral hepatitis and/or HIV, provide essential care services to federal offenders in the Quebec Region. These services include, but are not limited to, the evaluation of patients with infectious disease, carrying out the appropriate examinations on the condition of the inmate, monitoring offenders with viral hepatitis and/or HIV, etc. (Refer to Article5. Tasks, of Annex A – Statement of Work).
Term of Contract:
Period of the Contract : Services to be rendered are to be performed during the period of the Contract's award until April 30th, 2020 inclusively, with the option to renew for one (1) additional one-year period.
