    Ice Rink Rental, Ottawa, Ontario

    This bid solicitation cancels and supersedes previous bid solicitation number W6369-20-X001 dated 21 June 2019 with a closing date of 11 July 2019 at 2:00 pm EDT. A debriefing or feedback session will be provided upon request to bidders/offerors/suppliers who bid on the previous solicitation.

    The Department of National Defence has a requirement for the rental of two (2) co-located ice pads within the City of Ottawa for an annual estimate of 680 hours during the period 30 September 2019 to 30 June 2020, with three (3) additional option years. 

    It is DND’s intention to award a single contract for this requirement.

    Bidders are to refer to the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the detailed requirement.

    MANDATORY CRITERIA (MC)

    The Bidder must adequately demonstrate in its proposal that:

    MC1: The facility contains two hockey rinks, 200 feet long by 85 feet wide.

    MC2: The facility has parking no farther than 200 meters from the building.

    MC3: One of the rinks has spectator seating for 120 persons.

    MC4: The facility is located within the boundaries of the Ottawa River to the North, Bearbrook Road to the East, Fallowfield / Leitrim road to the South, and Huntmar Dr. in Kanata to the West.

    The basis of selection shall be the compliant Bidder that offers the lowest-cost compliant proposal.

    For services requirements, Bidders must provide the required information as detailed in article 2.3 of Part 2 of the bid solicitation, in order to comply with Treasury Board policies and directives on contracts awarded to former public servants.

    The Crown retains the rights to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.

    Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.

    DND reserves the right not to award a Contract, regardless of the proposals received.

    Where this notice and the RFP differ, the RFP shall prevail.
