Description
This project comprises dredging of shallow sections of the Kennisis River both upstream and downstream of Red Pine Lake from a road access point on Royal Mile Drive to the current Red Pine Lake Dam site. Expected volumes of dredging are 4150 cubic meters of common material and 25 cubic meters of bedrock.
The dredging site is an open navigation area. As such, any work at and around the dredging site is subject to ongoing commercial and recreational navigation. The contractor shall be responsible for health and safety for all of its team members on site, and for protection of the general public.
The purpose of the dredging work is to allow reliable barge access for construction transportation during the replacement of Red Pine Lake Dam scheduled to be completed spring through fall 2020. The Contractor shall perform and complete the work within timelines stipulated in contract documents.

National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.
Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

Delivery Date:
The period of the Contract is from date of Contract to September 30, 2019.
Bid Security:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $ 1,000,001 > $ 5,000,000 taxes extra
Registry and pre-qualification of floating plant
Dredges or other floating plant to be used in the performance of the Work must be on Canadian registry. For dredges or other floating plant that are not of Canadian make or manufacture, the Bidder must obtain a certificate of qualification from Industry Canada as described in the Floating Plant Appendix of the Bid and Acceptance Form, and this certificate must accompany the bid. Plant so qualified by Industry Canada may be accepted on this project..
