Description of Work:
The Department of Foreign Affairs Trade and Development (DFATD) has identified a requirement for a firm to develop and implement User Research that will support DFATD in its understanding of the Canadian small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) landscape, including their experiences, challenges, journeys and obstacles with respect to:
- Exporting, including growing exports and entering new markets; and

The end goal of this research is to help shape the DFATD’s ongoing service design modernization to ensure that Canadian SMEs are supported and served as effectively and as efficiently as possible by the department. The final report and presentation will identify actionable recommendations and suggestions the Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) can undertake within the timeframe of the modernization mandate, of which a small number (3 to 5) will be selected for prototyping through facilitated service design sessions and/or a service design sprint conducted by the Contractor.
The period of the Contract will be from the date of Contract award to April 30, 2020
