    This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, Saskatchewan Penitentiary, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan

    Nature of Requirements:

    The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.

    The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement provide inspection and verification services to Saskatchewan Penitentiary fire alarm system on site, as per CAN/ULC S536 standards for conduction of inspection and testing of fire alarm systems, fire sprinklers, backflow preventer and kitchen hoods. 

    Objectives:

    Saskatchewan Penitentiary is requesting tenders to provide Inspection and Verification services to the Institutional fire alarm system on site as per CAN/ULC S536 standard for conducting Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm, Fire Sprinkler, Backflow Preventer, Fire Hydrants and Kitchen Hoods.

    Tasks:

    The Contractor must ensure that all personnel are properly certified and qualified to do the work in the province services are being provided. The Project Authority may request proof of certification and qualifications during the contract period.

    The Contractor must:

    Provide required detailed documentation of the testing and inspection, including required certificates of inspection.

    Identify and document deficiencies requiring adjustment, updating, repair or replacement, correct any deficiencies assigned to the contractor for correction, and appropriately document all corrections of identified deficiencies.

    Provide all reports and final certification in Electric format and 2 paper copies.

    Deliverables:

    The Contractor must provide:

    1. The annual testing and certification of the fire systems and the final certification.
    2. Complete documentation of the entire fire system test and certification, including a list of all deficiencies and the repair and retesting of deficiencies to the Project Authority as two hard copies and one digital copy.
    3. A written report, detailing the results of the fire alarm system inspection and final certification. The contractor must send two paper copies as well as an electronic copy to the attention of the Chief, Facilities Management and Maintenance Supervisor at Saskatchewan Penitentiary.
    4. A complete listing of identified deficiencies and the required remedial action to the Chief, Facilities Management and Maintenance Supervisor, within 20 days of the completion of the inspection.
    5. The testing and inspection must be 100% complete with a report and inspection certification provided to Saskatchewan Penitentiary no later than 6 weeks following the inspections.
