    The AWS infrastructure Architect will work with the Research, Development and Analytics Directorate team to review current architecture of ISED AWS Landing zone infrastructure and address the gaps needed to make ISED zone ready for migration of ISED digital assets to AWS Cloud infrastructure.

    Duties and deliverables may include but not be limited to the following:

    • Recommend and document best practices and processes for ISED to operate the AWS cloud.
    • Drive and use Cloud architecture best practices when it comes to manage and monitor AWS resources;
    • Use ISED best practices and recommendations when it comes to architect and enable resources in the AWS Cloud.
    • Implement Security controls to make ISED landing zone ready to host secure workload in the Cloud;
    • Automate AWS resource provisioning (infrastructure-as code concept)
    • Develop and maintain technical/system documentation;
    • Contribute to project team meetings and collaborate with the team including the project manager.
    • Complete and submit, for weekly approval, time sheets by project using the (in-house) Project Tracking System; and
    • Provide updates/status reporting to project team management as required.
