Purpose of this Advance Procurement Notice
This is not a bid solicitation. This is an advance notice of a potential project with anticipated security requirements to provide interested Facility Management Companies an opportunity to apply for security clearances. Note that there is no guarantee that this project will proceed.
Description of the Project
Facility Maintenance and Support Services for various building and systems located at Wainwright Garrison, Alberta. Activities will be primarily focused on preventative maintenance inspections, and may also include testing, minor repairs and improvements.
Description of the Services
The scope of this contract will encompass inspection, testing, maintenance and minor corrective maintenance activities spanning a suite of hard and soft services including, but not limited to:
- Architectural systems
- Electrical systems
- Mechanical systems
- Fire Detection and Suppression; and Life Safety Systems
- Plumbing systems
The scope of services will be applied to as many as 130 facilities with a gross total floor space of up to 172,000 m2. Services to include monitoring and planning activities related to industries good maintenance practices for buildings and structures.
The estimated cost for this opportunity is $19,500,000.00 for the initial five-year period with the potential to have two additional three-year extensions and an increase in value up to $23,400,000.00. The total potential value is in the order of $42,900,000.00.
This is conditional on the project receiving approval to proceed by the DND.
Security Requirements
Contractors will be required to hold a valid [DESIGNATED ORGANIZATION SCREENING (DOS)], issued or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
Sub-contractors will be required to hold a valid DESIGNATED ORGANIZATION SCREENING (DOS), issued or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
Process
Contractors that do not meet the stipulated security requirements and that are interested in submitting a proposal/bid for this procurement that fall under this program can apply for the security clearance through the Industrial Security Program (ISP). This can be done by following the procedure on DCC’s website at the following link: http://www.dcc-cdc.gc.ca/english/contractors_consultants.html. Contractors are asked to submit their request prior to December 10, 2019 quoting the following information:
- Contract number: RPOU(W)WX0001; and
- Level of clearance requested to be sponsored for.
