    This Invitation to Tender is for Fisheries and Oceans Canada.

    Title: Les Petits Méchins – Gaspésie – Hauling slip demolition

    Work site location: Les Petits Méchins – Gaspésie – Québec

     

    This Invitation to Tender Package includes the following:

      Please Note:

       

      All bids’ security are to be submitted in hard copy by the bid closing date and time to the

      mailing address indicated above whether the bid submission is sent via Location #1 or Location #2.

       

      DELIVERABLES / SCOPE OF WORK

    The works covered by this contract includes:

    1. The demolition of the hauling slip, including, without being limited to:

      1. All the concrete elements (slab, foundations of the slip and the old shed, the anchor of the old hauling pulley, etc.);

      2. All the steel elements (hauling ring, nails, dowel, reinforcement, etc.);

      3. All electrical elements, if applicable.

    2.  Loading, transport and disposal of all the demolition and excavation material in conformity with the environmental rules and laws in effect. A proof of disposal will be required from the Contractor.

    3. Fill and level excavated grounds.

    4. Construction of a protection rock fill.

    5. Seeding of the affected area.

    6. Site cleaning to remove all debris produced by the work done on site.

    FAMILIARIZATION WITH SITE

     

    Before submitting a bid, bidders can visit the site and its surroundings, at their own expense and schedule, to review and verify the form, nature, and extent of the work, materials needed for the completion of the work, the means of access to the site, severity, exposure and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account or error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply.

    Contractors, bidders, or those they invite to site are to review the specification section on Health and Safety before visiting site. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid.

    EXPECTED START AND COMPLETION DATES

     

    The expected completion date of this project is December 31st, 2019.

     

    MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

     

    • The minimum acceptable amount of Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance is $5,000,000.00 per occurrence. All tenders must be accompanied by confirmation from the tenderer’s insurance company that the required insurance will be available upon contract award;

    Question and Answer period: DFO will accept questions from Bidders until Tuesday November 19th, 2019 at 2:00 pm Atlantic Time (AT). These are to be sent directly and only to the Contracting Officer listed below.
