REVIEW AND DEVELOPMENT OF VEHICLE SURVIVABILITY ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTURE
Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) conducts activities related to evaluation, development and support of technologies, threats and protection systems for the Canadian Army vehicles.
The tools, methods, processes, facilities, personnel, and their organizations used to conduct these activities form the current Vehicle Survivability Enterprise. The current Vehicle Survivability Enterprise Architecture is undocumented and depends on the know-how of the involved personnel.
DRDC has the intent to develop it current Vehicle Survivability Enterprise into a defined Vehicle Integrated Survivability Enterprise by implementing the integrated survivability analysis method based on DSTL UK “Land Integrated Survivability Analysis Vision” document.
In order to migrate from its informal undocumented Vehicle Survivability Enterprise architecture to a defined Integrated Survivability Enterprise architecture, DRDC seeks support from a contractor to:
- Document the current As-Is vehicle survivability enterprise architecture
- Perform an analysis of the DSTL UK “Land Integrated Survivability Analysis Vision” to identify the underlying enterprise architecture processes.
- Elaborate and propose a desired Integrated Survivability Enterprise architecture build over the current Vehicle Survivability Enterprise architecture.
The Unified Architecture Framework® (UAF®) meets the specific business, operational and systems-of-systems integration needs of commercial and industrial enterprises as well as the Department of National Defence (DND), the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and other defence organizations. UAF supports the Department of National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces Architecture Framework (DNDAF) and these Enterprise Architecture (EA) frameworks are employed for presenting enterprise architecture information in a consistent and uniform manner.
