Description
This requirement is open only to the Supply Arrangement Holders under Supply Arrangement E60LM-140025 who qualified in providing Scheduled Transportation Services within the National Capital Region.
Director Information Management End-User Services (DIMEUS) requires a supplier in providing Scheduled Transportation Services to move various types of freight and/or mail for the Department of National Defence (DND) within the National Capital Region (NCR) and surrounding areas. Merchandise for delivery may range from computers and other communication information systems (CIS) equipment to large palletized items as well as small parcels to bulk materials.
The Contractor must provide the following:
- One (1) 2-ton Cube Van, and one (1) 5-ton Truck. Each vehicle must also be equipped with the proper material handling equipment, such as, dollies, securing straps/chains, protective blankets, pallet jacks, etc. Where required, a functional hydraulic or electric lift gate must be in place.
- Each driver and back-up driver must be fully qualified to operate the types of vehicle listed, and be certified/licensed to handle/transport Dangerous Goods and Controlled Goods as specified in the Transport Canada Dangerous Goods Regulations and the Government Controlled Goods Regulations respectively.
Security Requirement: Secret for Primary Driver of 5-ton Truck. Reliability for Backup Driver of 5-ton Truck, and Primary Driver & Backup Drivers of 2-ton Cube Van.
Minimum Corporate Security Required: Facility Security Clearance (FSC) - Secret
