Requirement:
Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) is seeking a contractor to renovate the electrical room and whole building standby generator located at the Puntledge River Hatchery, Courtenay, BC. The Puntledge River Hatchery main facility is served by BC Hydro at 347/600V and presently equipped with a standby power system supplying only the 120/208V loads. See specifications and drawings for further details on the requirement.
Optional Site Visit:
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at Puntledge River Hatchery, 38 Powerhouse Road, Courtenay, BC on January 28, 2020. The site visit will begin at 1:00pm PST.
Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Officer no later than January 27, 2020 at 12:00pm PST to confirm attendance and provide the following information:
- Business name

- Business phone number
- Bidder’s representative name(s), with email address and phone number
No alternative appointment will be given to bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative. The representative of the bidder may be requested to sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bidders who do not participate in the visit will not be precluded from submitting a bid.
Project Timeline:
The Contractor must perform and complete all Work by September 18, 2020. See specifications for the project milestones.
Note: The hatchery will be shutdown from August 1, 2020 to September 30, 2020.

Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.
The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
