Definition of requirement: Shared Services Canada (SSC) has a requirement for the provision of Local Access Service CENTREX services to the Government of Canada with offices located in the following geographic areas:

1. Nova Scotia Core & Prince Edward Island Core – 12,782 lines

2. Nova Scotia Non-Core & Prince Edward Island Non-Core – 515 lines

3. New Brunswick - 12,000 lines

4. Newfoundland Labrador - 7,500 lines

5. Ontario, Quebec, NCR – 153,162 lines

6. Manitoba -10,000 lines

7. Saskatchewan – 5,195 lines

8. Alberta – 7,935 lines, British Columbia – 14,936 lines

9. Northwest Territories, Yukon, Nunavut – 1,700 lines

10. Quebec (Rimouski) – 1,400 lines

11. Quebec (James Bay, Rouyn-Noranda, Val D’or, Victoriaville, Chibougamau) – 200 lines

    The number of lines requiring service may increase or decrease during the contract period as the Clients’ needs evolve. This ACAN is being issued by Shared Services Canada (SSC). SSC is a federal government department that acts as a shared services organization. Any resulting instrument(s) will be used by SSC to provide shared services to one or more of its Clients. SSC’s “Clients” include SSC itself, those government institutions for whom SSC’s services are mandatory at any point during the life of any resulting instrument(s), and those other organizations for whom SSC’s services are optional at any point during the life of any resulting instrument(s) and that choose to use those services from time to time. In addition to the Government of Canada, SSC may also serve a government of a province or municipality in Canada, a Canadian aid agency, a public health organization, an intergovernmental organization or a foreign government.
