    NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROCUREMENT (NPP)

    Transportation Services for Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) Correctional Training Program (CTP) recruits.

    This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, Ontario Region.

    Trade agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA)

    Tendering procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid.

    Competitive Procurement Strategy: lowest priced compliant bid.

    Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business: This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Aboriginal Suppliers.

    Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement.

    Security Requirements: This contract does not include security requirements.

    Nature of Requirements:

    The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.

    CSC arranges for the transportation of CTP recruits from their home to the training site for CTP. For the National Satellite Training Academy (NSTA), located in Slemon Park in PEI, this usually involves flying the recruits into Charlottetown airport. The distance from the Charlottetown airport to the NSTA in Slemon Park is approximately 60km or one hour.

    Objectives:

    The Correctional Service Canada (CSC) has a requirement to provide transportation service for Correctional Training Program (CTP) Recruits.

    Deliverables:

    Transportation from the Charlottetown airport (YYG) to Slemon Park, Summerside, PEI and return from Slemon Park, Summerside, PEI to the Charlottetown airport (YYG).

    1. The Contractor must transport the CTP recruits from the Charlottetown airport (YYG) to the Slemon Park Hotel and Conference Center.
    1. The Contractor must start the transport within a two-hour period from the time the recruit arrives at the airport.
    1. Arrival and departure times will be provided to the Contractor with names, flight numbers and contact information for each recruit. The Contractor is responsible to determine the number of trips and size of vehicles that will be required to transport all CTP recruits to and from Slemon Park, Summerside, PEI on the dates provided. 
    1. The Contractor must transport the recruits to the airport so that they arrive with a minimum of 1.5 hours prior to the departure time, and a maximum of 4 hours prior to departure time.

    Period of the Contract: The Work is to be performed during the period of the contract award to one year later; with the option to renew for six (6) additional one-year periods.
