    Description

Maintain the designated areas clear of accumulating snow and remove excess snow from the site for the duration of the contract.

    1. Clear all the areas of snow each day when the accumulation is approximately 10 cm or 4 inches. If snow accumulation continues throughout the day the contractor will continue to clear the area. The snow will be pushed aside for the time being.
    2. When the piles of cleared snow become significant, the contractor will then remove the piles off-site for dumping.
    3. Service of snow removal will start on the first day of significant accumulation in November and will continue to the end of May 2021 or until the end of snow precipitation.

The designated areas include the driveway from the municipal road to the main door of the building and the small parking area in front of the building which includes access to the fuel reservoir and service points for water and sewage. Snow piles are considered significant when they attain a height of 3 meters or 9 ft.

Access to the ECCC building may be restricted due to the snow conditions on municipal roads after significant snow events (blizzards). The contractor will make every effort to perform the service once roads are passable.
