Title: Grande-Entrée – Fiber Concrete– Service Area

Scope of Work/Deliverables:

Construction of a fiber concrete slab at the Grande-Entrée fishing harbor in the Magdalen Islands includes, but is not limited to, the following works:

1. Removal of a layer of 20-0 mm presently on the service area to reach the desired elevation before concreting
2. Stockpile of these materials in the parking area
3. Leveling and compaction of the service area granular base.
4. Supply of materials, machinery and labor for the construction of the fiber concrete slab, all as indicated in the drawings and specifications.
5. Supply of equipment and installation of adequate road signs to provide protection during work and curing of the fiber concrete slab.

Work site location: Fishing Harbour of Grande-Entrée – Magdalen Islands

Expected Start and Completion Dates

The services of the Contractor will be commencing on award of the Contract. The expected completion date of this project is December 18^th, 2020.

FAMILIARIZATION WITH SITE

Before submitting a bid, bidders can visit the site and its surroundings, at their own expense, to review and verify the form, nature, and extent of the work, materials needed for the completion of the work, the means of access to the site, severity, exposure, and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies, and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account or error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply.

Contractors, bidders, or those they invite to site are to review specification Section 01 35 28 – Health and Safety Requirements before visiting site. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid.
