Services to support Workplace Mental Health at Employment and

Description of the requirement:

The resulting contract will allow for the provision of clinical consultation services and training to ESDC managers (including supervisors, team leaders, directors, etc.) who are managing complex workplace situations, and to Human Resources Advisors who are providing advice and guidance to these managers.

The complex workplace situations that are targeted are but not limited to situations:

• where an employee's behavior has changed, is uncharacteristic or disruptive;
• where there are indications of potential mental health issues;
• where internal services (notably, Labour Relations, Corporate Disability Management, Duty to Accommodate) need to be supplemented;
• when the workplace has become a toxic environment due to unresolved conflicts, interpersonal issues and difficult workplace dynamics; or
• when the advice of a third party with expertise in the area of psychology is required.

ESDC requires that the counsellors are qualified mental health experts who will provide timely, professional assistance and concrete tips to help the cases/situations progress and improve.

Proposed period of contract:

The contract period is estimated to be for one (1) year plus three (3) additional one year period.
