Description of Work:
Global Affairs Canada (GAC) manages Canada’s diplomatic and consular relations with foreign governments and international organizations engaging and influencing international players to advance Canada’s political, legal and economic goals. More than ever, foreign services officers charged with enabling Canada’s diplomatic and advocacy goals need to have data at their fingertips to better understand their host country’s government, counterparts, and environmental context. Without integrated, curated and easily accessible data, our officers are at a disadvantage when planning and implementing their work to impact positive change for Canadians. They are losing time searching and analyzing multiple different sources of data (e.g. open data, social media) to help inform their actions to influence key interlocutors abroad on key foreign policy issues.
The objective of this contract is to obtain the professional services of multiple IM/IT resources to build data products with modern tools for delivery of relevant information and insights to GAC Foreign Service officers enabling effective engagement with foreign interlocutors. The resulting data products may vary, including but not limited to an interactive data analysis portal, auto generated documents, data platform and/or data processes.
