ISED Security Systems Preventive Maintenance Contract

NOTE: Trade Agreements are not applicable.

As per the CFTA, Article 801: National Security, if the information contained in the contract were to be widely distributed it would put at risk the internal architecture of the complete ISED security system. This information could be used against the department and jeopardize government operations.

The card access system is designed and operated by a Canadian company and housed on a Canadian cloud. Any international company who could access the system through this maintenance contract could gain access to Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) information and jeopardize operations.

Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is seeking to establish a contract for their Security Systems Preventive Maintenance

Period of Work

The Contractor shall, between the first day of April, 2021 and the 31^st day of March, 2024, perform and complete with care, skill, diligence and efficiency the work that is described in the Statement of Work with the irrevocable option to extend the term of the Contract by up to two (2) additional one (1) year period(s) under the same conditions. The Contractor agrees that, during the extended period of the Contract, it will be paid in accordance with the applicable provisions as set out in the Basis of Payment.

Security Requirements:

The following security requirements apply and form part of the Contract.

At the contract award date, the following conditions must be met:

(a) the Bidder must hold a valid organization security clearance as indicated in Part 7 - resulting Contract Clauses;

(b) the Bidder's proposed individuals requiring access to classified or protected information, assets or sensitive work site(s) must meet the security requirement as indicated in Part 7 Resulting Contract Clauses;

(c) the Bidder must provide the name of all individuals who will require access to classified or protected information, assets or sensitive work sites.
